So today goes down in history as the point of no return for Brexit.
Most probably in some future history it’ll pinpoint the day we chose to fuck our entire economy and become a permanently poorer and more isolated country.

What it won’t go down as, despite Theresa May’s pleas, is ‘a time to come together’. Fuck that, and fuck you, bitch. NO ONE voted for you.

For a start, every fucking Brexiteer you mention it to is far from prepared to ‘come together’. Their go to retort – rather than actually engage in any discussion – is still the same as it was at the time of the referendum; ‘you lost. get over it!’.

You know what?

I, and 48% of the rest of the nation, didn’t vote for Brexit. We didn’t vote for a 20% dive in the worth of the British Pound. We didn’t vote for the resultant rise in the price we pay for goods and services. You can be damned sure we’re not going to get a 20%+ pay-rise to offset these two factors.

So I am currently more than 20% poorer because of Brexiteers – most of whom can’t even fucking tell me WHY they voted. Despite May’s assertion that people had voted to leave the EU ‘with their eyes open’, most Brexiteers I’ve actually asked what was so objectionable about our EU membership that they were looking for Brexit to undo, not one could actually answer with anything that wasn’t plain racism (and we’ve already been told that all the immigration control promises were bullshit and we have next to no control over it), based on one of the many lies they were sold by the Vote Leave campaign, or, more often than not, related to the curviness of our bananas.

So forgive me if I’m finding it hard to get over my standard of living already being reduced and getting worse by the day for something I and 48% of the rest of the nation never wanted because mostly ignorant pricks. And it’s only going to get worse… the fucking process hasn’t even started yet.

As we keep getting told, ‘Brexit means Brexit’ (whatever the actual fuck that means…) and it’s a ‘Hard Brexit’ which apparently means Brexit at absolutely any cost, including the complete destruction of our economy, lower living standards for all, higher unemployment, increasing levels of inequality, concentration of wealth and jobs. Funnily enough, a lot of the stuff that everyone blamed on the EU.

So fuck you and your united United Kingdom. It’s done. Stick a fork in it.
