So, somewhat predictably, the adoring, unquestioning (read: wilfully ignorant) Trumpists are a bit sad (sorry. Sad! With a capital and an exclamation mark) about all the protesting against their thin skinned narcissistic Crybaby-in-Chief, and the ridiculing and haranguing of the small handed small minded predatory POTUS (Piece Of Turd Under Shoe).

“You damn liberal babies! he won, get over it! He’s your president whether you like it or not! There’s nothing you can do by whining about it!”

Yeah. Just like you meekly and politely accepted Obama as yours, right? lol.

It seems like now the shoe is firmly on the other foot, the Right have decided that protesting is terrible and bad and for lazy millenials who want handouts!

Trump himself has got in on the same action:

“Watched protests yesterday but was under the impression that we just had an election! Why didn’t these people vote? Celebs hurt cause badly.

Although he seems blissfully unaware that he literally just said that if people would have actually voted he would have lost. Or maybe that’s what he wanted. Maybe his fwagile widdle ego simply can’t handle being criticised and cajoled for the next 4 years. Yaknow, the kind of thing Trump consistently posted about Obama for the entirety of his presidency.

His cognitive dissonance is hilarious. Except it’s really not funny. Indeed, it seems the right have conveniently short memories but plenty of hypocrisy and cognitive dissonance to go around.

Actually, I can’t think of anything more American or patriotic than standing up against your government if you don’t have faith in the way it’s being run or in the people who are running it. That is quite literally one of the founding principles of the USA! Citizens are exercising their 1st amendment right to assemble and to protest and to take action against someone who is demonstrably unqualified to be president, and against a leadership that is already moving to harm and exploit the very people they are sworn to serve.

You should thank your lucky star spangled banner that they do, too. Imagine where the good ‘ole US-of-A would you be right now if they had taken that stance during the Boston Tea Party? “Stop whining! The tax isn’t THAT high! Put down the tea..

This isn’t a left v right, liberal v conservative thing so much as it is about a man who is proving himself on a daily basis to be entirely unfit for the job. For fucks sake… how bad does it actually have to be that people are prepared to concede that a piece of shit human being like Pence would make a better President than Trump?!

Just because a bunch of racist misogynist fucks elected a racist misogynist fuck as president, doesn’t mean we have to stop calling people racists. Or misogynists. Or fucks. In fact, we need to keep doing it and hold them accountable because now they think they’re legitimised.

In trying to shut down dissenters, they’re suggesting that anyone whose candidate didn’t win the presidency somehow forfeits all rights and opinions (the same argument Brexiteers used against remainers, too!). Now we know that there’s a very good chance that as a Trump supporter (or Brexiteer) you are well on your way to Nazi style fascism, but the point is you’re using fascism to cite democracy as your supporting argument… where democracy has absolutely failed.

It would be pointless to point out to a fascist right the absurdity of clinging to an Electoral College system conceived in 1787 for an America made of 13 states and designed to encourage the disfranchisement of women and the slave populations of the southern states… mostly because they’d support all of those ideals.

On the other hand, it’s pointless to cite the simple fact that Trump lost the popular vote by some 3 million to Clinton, in an election that saw voter turn out dip to a new 20 year low of 58 percent; they’ll just counter that the popular vote isn’t how the USA does democracy.

To normal thinking people, though, being installed as the 45th President of the USA based upon the fact that 27 percent of the voting-eligible population voted for Trump doesn’t sound very democratic at all, which is why cries of “he’s your president, deal with it!” ring a little hollow with a large slice of the population.

Which is why people need to keep reminding Trump and his minions that whether they like it or not, they are just as accountable now to the people who didn’t vote for him as they are to the people who did. It’s He and his disciples that needs to ‘get over it’ and ‘act like an adult’. He could start by refraining from referring to Americans who didn’t vote for him as ‘the enemy’.

It’s also why people need to keep ridiculing, mocking and calling him out at every and any opportunity. It’s the very best approach with such a narcissist, and it is actually especially effective with Trump. Apparently he spent his inauguration day getting more and more irate and irritated as he gauged the reactions on the twitterverse. Presumably that’s why they spent such a happy day looking like this:

Hopefully, his tantrums and lashing out and reactionary tactics will one day lead him to over-reach his executive status and face impeachment. Just avoid actual threats… you could end up being a wanted terrorist like Madonna.

You may as well simply stick to the facts, really. Because Trump and friends have an entirely other set of alternative facts (read: lies) and an entirely other reality to the one the rest of us inhabit, and frankly it’s just a slightly absurd no brainer turkey shoot to continually burst their unreality bubble on a tweet by tweet, lie by lie, meme by meme basis.

Just don’t confuse his being an imprudent moron with his being stupid. He’s really not stupid. Well, he is stupid, but it’s functional stupidity; he lacks any intellectual curiosity and is mentally lazy; he has tunnel vision and has no interest in opening his mind to ideas that challenge his own preconceptions.

He’s clearly quite smart. Not in an intellectual kind of way. In a predatory smart kind of way. The kind of smart that knows how to manipulate the system to maximally benefit him, personally, always at the expense of other people. It’s about squeezing the little guy, paying as little as possible, and using all the expensive legal resources available to make sure he wins bigly and everyone else loses.

Which is why if you think he’s in this for you, the people, you’re very, very much mistaken. You just need to see what he’s done – or undone – since Friday to realise that… when he’s not wasting his time arguing on Twitter and presenting ‘alternative facts’ on inconsequential crap like inauguration numbers in the face of vast, overwhelming documentary evidence to the contrary.

I hope that the point gets driven home hard real soon; I hope that every single person that supported him has their life completely fucked over by his policies and actions directly. Same goes for Brexiteers. I know that’s not a very united or reconciliatory attitude… but then why the fuck should we be? It’s just holding up a mirror to the actions and hypocrisy of those with opposing opinions for the last 8 years, even if they’ve conveniently forgotten.
